News for Immediate Release

No Scandal from the Huckabee Campaign

On Thursday January 17th 2008 the Huckabee campaign offered favors to the Sociology 118 class in the form of Reese’s and Twix. This was not a bribe. It was a way of communicating that the Huckabee campaign cares about the people and wants to be on good terms with competitors.
Drew Halfmann, Secretary of State of California, stated that he was not accepting bribes. It was also strongly implied that he enjoyed his Huckabee endorsed Reese’s peanut butter cup. The allegations of foul play are misguided. Huckabee is a woman of principle and does not engage in bribery, nor does she need to with such a strong slate.
